Dr Mark Baganz is a board certified diagnostic radiologist and fellowship trained neuroradiologist with extensive experience in the use of MRI to diagnose diseases of the central nervous and musculoskeletal systems. He is the Founder, and current President and Medical Director of Chesapeake Medical Imaging. He is an active member in numerous professional organizations, including the American Society of Neuroradiology and the American College of Radiology. Dr. Baganz currently serves on the Maryland State Board of Physicians. Dr. Baganz is a lecturer in the field of Neuroradiology and on the topics related to the use of effective management strategies in medicine. Prior to his current position, Dr Baganz previously served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Neurology at the Howard University College of Medicine.

Dr. Baganz founded Chesapeake Medical Imaging in 2001 as a single location MRI center in Annapolis, Maryland. Chesapeake Medical Imaging was founded with a devotion to providing high quality medical imaging in conjunction with the highest level of patient-centric customer service. Chesapeake Medical Imaging has grown from its initial single location into a full-service subspecialty Diagnostic Radiology practice employing 200 people and with a dozen offices throughout Maryland.

Dr Baganz is a frequent winner of the “Top Doc†award for Radiology from the Annapolis Magazine. Dr. Baganz was a cofounder of SecureRAD (now Purview), a successful medical IT services company. He was named as a 2017 finalist in the regional Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Program.

As an indicator of Dr. Baganz’s belief that a strong organizational commitment to employee engagement can lead to better medical care, Chesapeake Medical Imaging is a frequent winner of the Baltimore Sun’s award as one of the top workplaces in Maryland. Chesapeake Medical Imaging is also a frequent Best Radiology Practice winner from the Annapolis Magazine and from the Eastern Shore Magazine.
